Tourism places in Oman

Oman is one of the most famous countries in the world.  It is in the south east of the Arabian Peninsula. It consists of eight regions. They are Albatina, Adakhileia, Musandem, Dhofar, Alsharqiya. Alwosta, Aldhahra and Muscut. Muscat is the Cpital of Oman. It is covered by a chain of mountains that is called (Jebal Hajar Oman Chain) and includes hill tops, such as Aljabal Al Akhther and Jabal Shams. It has more than 1400 islands. Masira Island is the biggest island in Oman. It has a long coast of about 3570 Km. Due to the vast area of this coast, it has many kinds of scenes on its sea. Arabic is the official language of Oman, and they use English in business and in formal occasions. It is about 309.500 square km, the population of Oman is more than 3 millions. Islam is the official religion of Oman. This essay will cover Tourism, People and Culture of Oman. There is no doubt tourism plays a very important role in our world. Oman is now working to diversify its income resources and to depend less on oil resources. Tourism is one side of this diversification. The government spends a lot of money to develop the tourism sector, and the first thing done by the government was to establish the Ministry of Tourism as the head responsible to develop tourism in Oman. From this time everything has changed, and the tourism window has changed around the world, and tourists have started to visit Oman from everywhere. Oman has a strategic location, connecting all the major world continents. It has many places to visit. • Muttrah Suq is the largest suq in Oman. It consists of about three hundred shops, especially gold ones which number one hundred thirteen. It is near Muscat International Airport. A lot of tourists visit it around the year.  There are traditional shops for Omani clothes and food, such as Halwa.

Eljebal Elakhther is characterized by many beautiful scenes, where there are lots of geese and walnut trees. It is the second largest mountain top in Oman after Jabal Shams. Tourists visit it in the summer when it is characterized by cold air. It has many attractive places, for example water springs, forts and Alberandah House etc.

Salalah is located in the south of Oman. It is the capital of the Dhofar region. The population of Salalah is about 200,000. It is 1000km away from Muscat. It is important for the Omani economy because it has places that attract tourists, for example Jabal Samhan, Jabal Alqamar and Jebal Ateen, where tourism is active from June to August. There are many water springs, such as Hamran, Jarzeez and Arzat spring water. Also, there are many prophets’ tomb, for example Omran prophet, Ayyoob prophet and Hood prophet. Also, there are lots of nut trees. People in Oman are very friendly and easy to talk to. When they see you, they greet you by shaking hands, and then they ask you about your news before they start talking, which makes talking even friendlier

Omani culture enhances the public to respect others not only from Oman but from outside Oman too because it is part of the Islamic culture. This attracts foreigners to visit Oman because they find respect from Omani people. Every country has different culture that distinguishes it from other countries. Oman has a unique culture and heritage that every Omani is proud of, for example forts, Halwa and folk arts.Finally, Oman is one of the most beautiful Arabian countries, especially the mountains.
